It's finally here. My upcoming trip to Photoshop World in Las Vegas! I am so looking forward to this trip that I can barely contain myself. Live Concert Photography on the first day and it keeps getting better from there. I'm going to learn alot from this trip. Many classes for four days and each one a building block to the new career I've chosen. Or should I say the career that chose me and now I have to live up to it to the best of my ability. And with that comes all the insecurity that comes with treading into new territory. Fortunately, I've made some very good friends that advise me about the business side of photography.

The mixed blessing of the incorporation of my studio, albeit in my home, is a big step forward for me. My bank account has suffered the most but I have to make this work. And thanks to the National Guard I will be going back to school full time as a journalism major. Specifically a concentration in photojournalism to really ensure my skills are sharp for the long haul. Not to mention my new unit is placing me ina photojournalist slot.

I had also planned on attending Michael Helms' Erotic Photography Workshop. I know there will be other workshops he will hold and I'll have the chance to attend one of those but I had to do the more responsible thing and bow out gracefully so another photographer could attend. I can't say I'm not dissapointed in myself for not being able to pull this off but I guess the building blocks will be in place if I just display a little patience.
